The war has a profound and devastating impact on the lives of students across the country. Almost 2 years of Russia's war against the freedom of the people of Ukraine has led to a huge disruption in education, and students have faced extreme challenges to continue their studies. Ukrainian students do not have access to their higher education institutions, because they were simply destroyed by Russian missiles.
Russia's war against Ukraine has caused unspeakable suffering to the youth of Ukraine. We have collected five stories that illustrate the struggle of young Ukrainians who are trying to support their lives in the midst of war. Through these stories, we hope to give you an opportunity to look into the lives of those affected by this cynical war and demonstrate that the youth of Ukraine need help more than ever and you can help them.
We hope that these stories will shed light on the realities of life in Ukraine during the war.

Maxim's story is just one of thousands which we have. Students are forced to leave their homes due to the threat to their lives. They face daily challenges of adaptation, the absence of loved ones nearby, and the pain for those who remain in the conflict zone. Many of them feel lonely, miss their hometowns, and struggle with the desire to return home to the dangerous zones.... if there is still somewhere to return...
Imagine being a student and arriving in Lviv, excited for your new journey and future. But instead of a warm welcome, you find yourself under attack with rockets raining down on the city. For three days, you and other students have to hide in a shelter underground, cut off from the world while the city was under siege.
The war caused a failure in the education system, leaving students without access to the right conditions, not to mention the right learning environment
Meet Anya, a student and volunteer from Chernihiv. Despite of the fact of living in a city where is the war, she stays determined to make a difference. Anya is part of a volunteer group at her university that makes camo nets and trench candles for soldiers. She sees that as her way of resisting and supporting the war effort. Tactical Emergency medical services (TEMS) provides care in hostile situations while Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC) treats preventable battlefield deaths. These trainings are important for Ukraine due to ongoing Russian aggression and attacks on universities. It is necessary to educate citizens and especially students in first aid.
